How do I clean my new piercing?
- Wash hands with antibacterial soap
- Spray sterile saline on both sides
- Let sit 30-60 seconds
- Gently remove crusties with clean gauze
- Pat dry with paper towels (not cloth)
Use: NeilMed spray or any 0.9% sterile saline from pharmacies.
Don't use: Alcohol, peroxide, tea tree oil, homemade salt water, ointments, harsh soaps.
Never rotate or twist jewelry. You'll damage healing tissue.
What should I avoid during healing?
- Swimming (pools, hot tubs, lakes) for 6-8 weeks
- Makeup, lotions, hair products near piercing

When do I need to downsize my jewelry?
Downsizing is required. Initial jewelry is longer for swelling. Once swelling goes down, come back for proper-fitted jewelry or you'll get irritation bumps.
When: Cartilage 6-8wks, Lobes 4-6wks, Nostril 6-8wks, Navel 8-12wks, Oral 2-4wks.

Actual infection: Hot radiating pain, worsening swelling after 48hrs, green/yellow pus, red streaks, fever. See a doctor. Don't remove jewelry without medical okay.
